The 72nd Venice International Film Festival

Venice, Italy’s most famous movie event will again delight fans on September 2-12 this year. The Venice Film Festival or Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica delia Biennale di Venezia in Italian was founded in 1932, and is even considered as the “oldest film festival” in the world. It also belongs to the “Big Three” together with Berlin Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.

This year’s opening and closing ceremonies will be hosted by the actress and director, Elisa Sednaoui. The main competition’s President of the Jury on the other hand is Alfonso Cuaron, an iconic Mexican film director, screenwriter, producer, and editor.
